Work with watercolors.

First painting "Sunrise fog" and second one "Warm breath of summer wind"
 Watercolors on paper 2012
Daily painting project

I am really glad that i am find watercolors again after such a long time. I am simply in love and kind of addicted to paint and watch how colors play with each other on a wet paper.
So I would like to open the curtains how I paint with water colors. At first probable should mention I usually work with two on three watercolors painting at same time. That way when one painting dries I work on other and spare the time.
Usually I work in wet on wet technique, but in this case I will paint wet on wet and dry on wet.

Firs moisturize very well the paper and with light colors perceive the color world of painting.  In this moment really love how colors play on paper created such exiting world of magic!

Then add a bit more dark places in painting and on some moment when I feel that it’s better to stop and get painting to dry a bit I starting to paint on second watercolor painting.

This one I painted in dry on wet technique, where paper is dry and I use lots of water with watercolors to get light impression and beautiful play in colors. Like in previous painting I start with light perceive the color world of painting and places on painting. After that I add more darkness in some places, and after I am more or less pleased whit what I did, I returned to continue first painting.

And here is how looks my work space with two paintings, messy but work for me.. :) And in this situation with particular this two painting, they was ready less than one hour.. Don’t really watch the time but if someone interesting to know the time. I know I am work to slow, but I am still learning!
So that how i work at the moment with watercolors.

Best Regards,
Mikko.

Lovely paintings, and it is really fun to see how they develop. I love how you painted the sky in Warm breath of summer wind.

One of the fascinating thing about watercolor is the fusion of the colors...like magic! Two beautiful and colorful paintings...but my favorite is the second one :-)) xx
