Storm of colors

"Storm of colors"
Acrylic on Acrylic Painting Paper. 2012
Daily painting.

~“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.” - Irish Blessings ~

This is ready painting and now i wouldlike to tell how i made it...

After stair for some time on white paper i starting to see the picture that I will paint on that page! First is drawing and creating composition. I like to draw with soft pastel it give such a nice lines with what I can feel the dark and light pieces on coming work!

Then I am starting to play with colors and build the base color atmosphere!  It’s like the first touch with inside world of coming world…

After colorful atmosphere was build, I add more light point and give first feeling of ocean movements as with sky, firs clouds take their shape.

I add darker and stronger colors in all painting, that In future will be a good background for coming details!

Here I was made more detailing on the sky with clouds and movements on water. And still play with dark and light parts of painting.

Here is starting to feel that sky is ready and now need more work on water to get that feeling of movement and energy charge of all that huge mass of water. Working more on wave, creating more details and give first splash of water.

All time I was worked on painting, its somehow felt empty and that there is something was missed, so at last I added the last detail in painting that sailing ship right in the middle of the colorful storm.

A little bit ore detailing and finishing creating stormy mood. Give more attention to light in the sky and reflection in the water. It was starting to feel like painting will be soon ready…

Hope you enjoyed of painting and my small story of how I paint it!
Best Regards!
M.
